Apex Companies LLC, a nationwide environmental consultant headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, has acquired PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc., a Pacific Northwest provider of environmental consulting and engineering services across infrastructure, private, public, education and industrial markets.

The partnership results in a combined team of more than 1,400 staff with the resources to serve all 50 states.

Founded in Portland in 1982, PBS employs approximately 300 professionals with expertise in engineering, land surveying, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, health and safety, and environmental services. The firm has eight locations in either Oregon or Washington to serve clients across the Pacific Northwest. PBS has received industry accolades for its work, the integrity of its people and business practices, and its strong commitment to a sustainable future, the firm stated in a press release.

鈥淲e鈥檙e especially enthusiastic about the positive impacts joining with Apex will have on both current and prospective clients,鈥� PBS president and CEO Brian Stanford stated.

Combining the two teams allows both companies to offer a wider range of services, enhances geographic coverage, boosts workforce, and addresses a wider array of client needs in-house, Stanford stated.

PBS will operate as PBS, an Apex Company, within the West Region Business Unit, which will be led by Stanford.
