Plans for In-N-Out to open a restaurant in Beaverton are moving forward.
A land use application was approved by an independent hearings officer on Tuesday. A special use permit, development review and property line adjustment were also approved.
The proposal was previously denied in August 2022 due to land use issues.
The proposed development would include a 3,885-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and outdoor seating. It would be located at 10565 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, where Hawaiian Time operates currently.
The project is currently in the pre-development process with Washington County, according to a statement provided by Mike Abbate, In-N-Out鈥檚 vice president of store development.
鈥淥nce we break ground on a new location, it usually takes us eight to nine months to build and open a restaurant for business,鈥 Abbate stated.
The company has four restaurants in Oregon: Keizer, Roseburg, Grants Pass, and Medford. In-In-Out is also preparing to open a restaurant in Ridgefield, Washington, by 2025, according to an Instagram post made by the company earlier this month.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this story misidentified the party responsible for approving the land use application.
